Somers Risk Consulting
Captive Consulting and Management
What We Deliver
Somers Risk Consulting combines strong consulting support with quality captive management services. We work closely with our clients during the feasibility and implementation phases to ensure that recommended solutions are practical and optimal, that they are implemented effectively, and that they deliver long-term value.
The Somers Risk Consulting Difference
We are a boutique firm, top-heavy in experienced consultants. Our many collective years of captive experience translate into thoughtfully constructed, unique captive programs that are tailored to a client’s specific needs. Our experience is in both the traditional and captive insurance worlds, and our backgrounds are in the financial, regulatory, and insurance industries. At Somer's Risk, we prioritize client education, ensuring your full understanding of the risk management tools and financial rewards that captives bring to the table.
We continue to consult with our clients on an ongoing basis as part of the captive process. We don’t simply manage the captive once established. We handhold as needed and typically become an integral part of our client’s risk management team.
We ensure the captive continues to operate effectively and adapts to the changing business and risk management needs of our client, as well as to changing insurance and business environments. Our key people meet with each client at least once a year, and more often if desired, to discuss and update short-term and long-term strategies. We are always available, and questions and ideas are welcome.
We provide turnkey customized solutions. Our extensive experience has developed a client list from simple small captives to a commercial insurance company.
We have strong long-term relationships with experienced insurance, legal, accounting, and regulatory professionals. As a result, we know where to go and obtain the best for our clients when outside resources are needed.
We provide onshore and offshore management. We are approved in multiple domiciles and will work with the domicile that works best for each client.
